Entrfy FAQ & Product Q&A vs AC ‑ Questions & Answers: Which One Fits in 2026?

👉 Want shoppers' real questions answered on your product pages, free to start? Install AC ‑ Questions & Answers on the Shopify App Store →
Search the App Store for "product q&a" and Entrfy FAQ & Product Q&A shows up in the first handful of results, above us on most days. It has "Product Q&A" in the name, so it's a fair question: is it the same kind of app? Partly. Entrfy starts from FAQs you write and push out to many products at once. A Q&A app starts from what shoppers type into a box under the product. Which one you need depends on where your questions come from.
We build AC ‑ Questions & Answers, so read this as one vendor writing about another. Every price, count and date below was read off the two public App Store listings on 27 October 2026. Plans change, so check them again before you decide.
What Entrfy does well
Entrfy's strongest idea is targeting. You write an FAQ once and choose where it shows: specific products, collections, brands, product types or tags. New products that match the rule pick it up on their own. If you sell 400 hoodies that all get the same five questions about washing and sizing, that saves a lot of copy-pasting.
It also bundles a help button that sits on every page and brings your FAQs, a WhatsApp link, email and order tracking into one panel. Its listing says the storefront runs in 36 languages, and the paid plans add AI that writes FAQs from your product pages and translates them.
The free plan is generous on content. Unlimited FAQs and questions, with a cap on views instead.
Where a shopper Q&A app does a different job
The questions come from shoppers, not from you. An FAQ answers what you think people will ask. A Q&A box catches what they actually ask, in their own words, often things you'd never think to cover. "Does the 32 fit a 31 waist?" is not a question most merchants write into an FAQ.
You decide what goes live. On our Basic plan you can turn on "verify before publishing" and accept questions only from logged-in customers. That matters once a product gets popular and the spam starts.
Answers become page text. Every answered question adds real shopper wording to the product page. We wrote about FAQ schema and rich snippets if you want the SEO side.
You can bring old questions with you. Basic imports 200 questions, Advanced imports 2,000, and Professional has unlimited import and export. If you're switching from another Q&A app, your history isn't lost.

The two apps meter different things. Entrfy counts views, so a traffic spike in November can push you up a plan even if nobody asks anything new. We count questions, and only on the free plan. Entrfy's listing doesn't say exactly what counts as a "unique FAQ view", so ask their support before Black Friday if your traffic jumps.
What to check before you install either one
Look at the review count. Entrfy has been listed since January 2025 and had no reviews when we checked. That isn't proof of anything bad. It just means you have less to go on, so install it on a duplicate theme first and test the support yourself.
Then check how each app adds itself to your theme. Both should add blocks through the theme editor that you can move and remove without touching code. Shopify explains how these work in its theme app extensions docs. Whatever you pick, open a product page on your phone before you publish and make sure nothing pushes the Add to cart button down.
Which one should you install
Install Entrfy if you already know the questions and want one set of answers shown across hundreds of products, plus a help button with WhatsApp and order tracking in one place.
Install ours if the questions come from shoppers and you want them answered on the product page, moderated, and kept there for the next visitor. Start on the free plan, move to Basic at $1.99 once questions pile up.
Some stores could run both, an FAQ block for the standard answers and a Q&A section for everything else. If you do, check page speed on your phone with both switched on.
Frequently asked questions
Is Entrfy FAQ & Product Q&A free? It has a free plan with 1,000 unique FAQ views a month and unlimited FAQs and questions. Plus is $3.99 a month and Professional is $7.99 a month, as listed on 27 October 2026.
What's the difference between a product FAQ app and a product Q&A app? An FAQ app shows answers you wrote in advance. A Q&A app lets shoppers post their own questions on the product page, and you answer them in public. Some apps, Entrfy included, do a bit of both.
Is there a free product Q&A app for Shopify? AC ‑ Questions & Answers has a free plan with 25 Q&A a month, published straight to your storefront, with email updates. Paid plans start at $1.99 a month for unlimited Q&A.
Can I moderate shopper questions before they go live? On our Basic plan and above, yes: turn on "verify before publishing" and nothing appears until you approve it. You can also limit questions to logged-in customers.
Can I move my old questions from another app? Our Basic plan imports up to 200 questions, Advanced up to 2,000, and Professional has no import limit.
