How can I add WhatsApp automation templates and how do I get them approved by Meta?
You can add WhatsApp automation templates by following these steps:
- Go to WhatsApp Automation in your Shopify admin.
- Select the Templates tab.
- Click Create Custom Template or Add Standard Template and add the template.
- Add and save your template.
- Check the template status in Meta WhatsApp Manager – Message Templates.
The template status can be:
- Active – The template has been approved and is ready to use.
- In Review – Meta is currently reviewing the template.
- Rejected – Meta has rejected the template.
Meta's template approval process can take approximately 24–48 hours.
